Catholic Charities

The mission of Catholic Charities is to provide direct services for, advocate in behalf of and to convene the people of Southwest Florida. $50,000 funds counseling services for abused children 3-8 years old in collaboration with Children's Advocacy Center and other referring agencies.
Childcare of Southwest Florida
$182,000
Child Care of Southwest Florida's mission is to promote, model and educate for quality child care in Southwest Florida. A grant of $182,000 provides funds to continue operating two resource vans which will deliver learning materials and fund professional staffing for the vans. Additionally, a portion of the grant is matched by the state of Florida ($16.00 for every $1.00 NCEF contributes) for early childhood education tuition subsidy.
Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida

Children's Hospital is southwest Florida's only children's hospital. CHSWF's mission is to continue to meet the health care needs and improve the health status of the children of Southwest Florida. An award of $265,000 partially funds the Children's Health, Advocacy and Prevention (CHAP), which delivers parenting education, prevention of child abuse classes, and child safety seat program and school based health education at the Title I Schools, Guadalupe and RCMA after school programs.
Collier County Child Advocacy Council, Inc./CPT
$450,000
CAC/CPT provides medical and social diagnoses of children suspected of being the victims of child abuse and neglect. The 2008 grant in the amount of $450,000 supports services for more than 1,100 child victims of sexual and violent crime in Collier County.
ELLM Program (FGCU)

ELLM engages early literacy and reading skills to children 3 to 6 years old. A grant of $246,000 assists in the continuation of equipping classrooms with literacy materials and provides a research based coaching model for teachers in Pre-K classrooms reaching 1,000+ children.
First Book of Collier County*
$50,000
A Challenge grant of $50,000 provides 10 books per child in grades 2-4 in every Title One school in Collier County.
Foster Care Council of SWFL

FCC enriches the lives of children who are temporarily or permanently removed from their homes due to abandonment, serious neglect or physical or emotional abuse. The continued support of NCEF by way of a $300,000 grant supports enrichment activities and tutorial services to over 600 children in foster care in Collier County.
Fun Time Early Childhood Academy

Fun Time Early Childhood Academy is an educational day care center for children of low income and working class families. A grant in the amount of $100,000 allows 75 children access to early learning services in the River Park district of Naples.
Guadalupe Center of Immokalee Inc.
$700,000
Guadalupe Center of Immokalee provides educational, social and other support programs and resources to help break the cycle of poverty. The Center serves disadvantaged poor of Immokalee with interim help and long term programs that promote self-sufficiency and social change. A $700,000 investment in the Center partially underwrites 150 slots for Early Childhood Education Programs at the current facility, 300 openings for after-school programming at Highlands Elementary School and Pinecrest Elementary School, while supporting summer programming and assisting in the expansion of out-of-school holiday academic camps.
Immokalee Child Care Center Inc.
$200,000
ICCC provides subsidized childcare for children of migrant and working parents in Immokalee. A $200,000 award underwrites 50 infant and 50 toddler voluntary Pre-K scholarships.
Immokalee Non-Profit Housing
$300,000
INPH provides year round out of school educational programs with working class poor in a low income housing development. A $300,000 grant supports year round out of school programs for 100 children from low income families, partially underwrite the renovation of the Timber Ridge Community Center in Eden Park in Immokalee as well as outfit the community center for appropriate out of school academic programming.
Marco Island YMCA
$100,000
The Marco "Y" provides out of school programming and aquatics programs that build strong mind, body and spirit for the children in their community. This $100,000 gift provides financial assistance scholarships, expands water safety programs for 200 children and supports programs at off site Title One Collier County Public Schools.
Naples Equestrian Challenge
$200,000
NEC offers therapeutic riding for disabled children in Collier County. A $200,000 donation gives continued support for therapeutic riding sessions for approximately 165 disabled children.
PACE Center for Girls
$100,000
PACE focuses on quality, academic, gender responsive programs for girls at risk that produce life changing opportunities. This year’s $100,000 pledge assists the PACE girls participating in an employment readiness programs.
Redlands Christian Migrant Association (RCMA)
$350,000
RCMA provides quality childcare and early education for children of migrant farm workers and rural, low-income families throughout Collier County. A pledge of $350,000 helps support 20 children’s scholarships at the RCMA Day Care located on the Youth Haven campus, 60 school age children at the Immokalee Non Profit Housing Community Center and continues to support RCMA Early Childhood programs throughout the community.
Shelter for Abused Women & Children
$250,000
The shelter provides safety, intervention, education and support to victims and survivors of domestic violence. A grant of $250,000 funds therapeutic counselors for child victims of domestic violence in Immokalee and Naples.
Southwest Florida Workforce Development Board
$165,000
SWFL Workforce Development Board is a partnership of business, labor, education, community and government services which oversees educational initiatives throughout the region. A $165,000 investment into out of school Miracle II programs in Immokalee reaches out to five elementary schools and one middle school. This request includes all the complimenting programs; Micro Society, United Arts Council and Super Science Guy.
St. Matthew's House/ St. Matt's Kids Camps

St. Matt's Kids Camps provide scholarship funding for children living in the emergency homeless shelter and subsidized housing development. NCEF's $55,000 grant allows 30 homeless children to attend summer camps and after school programs and provide funds to add an addition to the shelter's playground.
Step by Step Childhood Education and Therapy Center
$315,000
Step by Step is an inclusive, early care and educational program promoting social, emotional, cognitive, lingual and physical skills for developmentally challenged children up to five years old. A $315,000 pledge funds a behavior specialist and general scholarship funds for 300 developmentally challenged children.
Tutor Corps

Through employment in the Tutor Corps, approximately 100 high school students assist younger students, contribute to their family’s income, earn scholarships for college and benefit from the services of a professional academic counselor.
Vision Quest
$50,000
Vision Quest is committed to providing free children's eye exams and quality new eyeglasses for Collier County's most vulnerable children who can't see clearly enough to read and can't afford suitable eye care. A $50,000 commitment allows Vision Quest to provide visual screening, intervention and eyeglasses to 500 children.
YMCA of the Palms*
$700,000
The YMCA of the Palms is a non profit organization committed to building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities. A $700,000 Challenge grant provides subsidy for 150 children from low income families and assists in the renovation of a new Early Childhood Development Center which will serve 125 additional pre-school students.
Youth Haven
$300,000
Youth Haven remains the only emergency shelter for children in Collier County. A $300,000 grant funds onsite therapeutic behavioral counseling programs for the children housed in the emergency shelter, as well as assists in counseling programs in Youth Haven's new group home for neglected and abandoned children.
