Guided by acclaimed Napa vintners Blakesley and Cyril Chappellet, two couples will feel like they have been touched with luck during their intimate visit to Ireland, customized to their interests. Staying in some of Ireland’s finest Relais & Châteaux properties, your party will live in supreme comfort while exploring the island’s timeless past.

Your journey begins in Dublin with two nights at the Five-star The Merrion Hotel. Deluxe Rooms are located on the upper floors of the Main House, decorated with fabrics and furniture that recall their 18th century heritage.

The highlight of your visit to Dublin will be dinner at Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, holder of Two Michelin Stars and generally regarded as Ireland’s finest restaurant. Composed of the best seasonal ingredients, typical dishes include ravioli of blue lobster, steamed wild turbot, Wicklow Sika deer and Barbarie Duckling.

From Dublin, you’ll travel to County Tipperary for a two-night stay at Cashel Palace Hotel, originally constructed in the Georgian style in 1730. Set within a magnificent regal manor, the hotel exudes true elegance and is complemented by expansive gardens, a world-class spa and the convivial Guinness Bar. You’ll tour the iconic Rock of Cashel, home to one of the most remarkable collections of Celtic art and medieval architecture to be found anywhere in Europe.

You’ll dine at the signature restaurant, The Bishop’s Buttery, providing contemporary Irish cuisine with a taste of Tipperary: everything from roast veal sweetbreads and pressed foie gras to poached black sole and pan-roasted halibut.

Your travels will now take you to Ballyfin Demesne, a Five-star country house hotel set in the center of Ireland. The 600-acre Ballyfin Demesne houses a neo-classical mansion originally built in the 1820s and completely restored. The beautifully appointed rooms are individually designed to mirror the unique style of the original house.

While at Ballyfin, you’ll dine at The Restaurant. Drawing produce from the property’s eight-acre walled garden and using local ingredients such as wild caught turbot, wild venison and Mountrath beef, Chef Richard Picard-Edwards will design a meal to complement the Chappellet wines. You’ll also step back in time and take a guided tour of the demesne with a horse and carriage.

It’s not over yet: Your tour of Ireland will conclude with two magical nights at Ballynahinch Castle, a restored luxury hotel located near Galway on the island’s southwest coast. The hotel sits at the foot of the Twelve Bens Mountains with Superior Rooms overlooking the Ballynahinch River.

You’ll enjoy a multi-course dinner at Owenmore Restaurant, a feat for all the senses and spend a day fly-fishing with a guide. Optional activities at Ballynahinch range from cycling and guided estate walks to a boat trip to visit the seal colony in the nearby estuary.

While on this Route du Bonheur, Blakesley and Cyril will include additional activities planned with the winning bidders based on their interest. Whether you like golfing in the Irish countryside, tasting the freshest Irish beers from their homeland or visiting the home of champion racehorses, this lot has something for everyone.

The winners of this lot will feel truly lucky with a collection of 100-point Chappellet Pritchard Hill Cabernet Sauvignon wines from vintages 2012, 2015 and 2016 in Magnum format. The Pritchard Hill Cabernet represents the pinnacle of the Chappellet portfolio, produced from the best vineyard lots and only released in the finest vintage years.

This auction lot is hosted and joined by Blakesley and Cyril Chappellet of Chappellet Vineyards, to be scheduled for mutually agreeable dates and based on availability. Blackout dates include the months of July and August and between December 20-January 2, 2024 and must be redeemed within one (1) year of the auction. Meals, wine and alcoholic beverages are only included as stated above and include gratuities. Gratuities are not included for any other portion of the trip. Fly-fishing availability is based on season of visit.
