Two couples will have an unparalleled opportunity to spend time with Suzanne Deal Booth, proprietor of Bella Oaks vineyard. Booth has spent three decades committed to the recognition, preservation and conservation of visual arts and cultural heritage.

 The Bella Oaks property is legendary, with a legacy for establishing the culture of hospitality in the Napa Valley, as well as being the source of one of the region’s earliest single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons. After purchasing the property in 2010, Suzanne Deal Booth assembled a dream team consisting of viticulturist David Abreu, winemaker Nigel Kinsman and master blender Michel Rolland. Her vision for the vineyard comprises a holistic focus on organic and biodynamic farming, a thoughtful emphasis on biodiversity and the seamless integration of wine, art, community and culture.

Your immersion into the artistic world of Suzanne Deal Booth will begin in Napa Valley. After a tasting of Bella Oaks’ singular Cabernets, enjoy a tour of the property, encompassing Suzanne’s famed art collection and a meditation labyrinth designed in collaboration with Andrea Cochran.

Your understanding of the biodynamic principles applied in the farming of Bella Oaks will be enhanced by a session with biodynamic consultant Marla Bird. Finally, savor a bespoke multi-course meal with host Suzanne Deal Booth in her home. The wine pairing will include historic bottlings of Heitz “Bella Oaks Vineyard” Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as highly-acclaimed current releases crafted by winemaker, Nigel Kinsman.

On the way to Booth’s hometown of Austin, you’ll spend one night in Marfa, Texas, where Booth will expose you to the city’s vibrant, under-the-radar art scene. You’ll receive private tours of The Chinati Foundation and the Judd Foundation. Your group will also have insider access at Ballroom Marfa, an art space and museum specializing in visual arts and music.

Optional excursions in Marfa will include Prada Marfa, a permanent sculpture installation by Scandinavian artists Elmgreen and Dragset, located in the Chihuahuan desert; Galerie Max Hetzler, a global contemporary art gallery; and the famous Marfa Lights, which many observers believe are caused by paranormal sources such as ghosts or UFOs.

The centerpiece of your time in Austin will be three full days at the Austin City Limits Music Festival (ACL). The ACL Music Festival contains nine stages spread out over Zilker Park, featuring genres including rock, indie, country, folk, electronic and hip hop. Your party will receive VIP passes which include access to all nine stages, admission to VIP Viewing Decks; complimentary all-day beer, wine and cocktails; complimentary all-day dining and a dedicated concierge.

In addition, you’ll have Boom passes which grant admission to the Partner Lounge, an invitation-only space where the founders of C3 and ACL Festival gather with their friends, family and industry bigwigs plus access to the C3 and Live Nation private salon.

Special though it is, there’s more to the Austin arts scene than the ACL Music Festival. You’ll be able to take advantage of two private, curator-led museum tours. The Contemporary Austin is the primary modern art museum in Texas. The Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas is one of the largest university art museums in the U.S.

Feel free to grab brunch at the Commodore Perry Estate, a 10,800-sqaure foot Gatsby-era mansion built in 1928. When the day ends at ACL, unwind with drinks at the private Pershing Club, known for its exclusive music and comedy shows. And to get away from it all, go for a private boat ride along Lake Austin.

Each couple will receive a Three Liter bottle of the 2017 Bella Oaks Proprietary Red Blend, a combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc that has been described as “ethereal,” “weightless” and “beautiful.”

Winning bidders must confirm their dates of travel no later than May 31, 2024. Airfare to California and returning from Texas is not included. One-Way Private Air from California to Marfa and from Marfa to Austin is included on a Challenger 350 or equivalent aircraft and joined by Suzanne Deal Booth. ACL VIP passes include complimentary all-day beer, wine and cocktails and dining. Additional meals and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are only included as stated above. Gratuities are not included. The bottles of 2017 Bella Oaks Proprietary Red Wine will ship directly to the winning bidders after the visit to Bella Oaks.
