Surrounded by history and steeped in the tradition of the Tuscan countryside, the Sangiovese grape is native to Chianti and reaches its greatest heights in neighboring Brunello di Montalcino. Two couples will explore the high points of both wines in supreme comfort, accompanied by rustic regional cuisine.

Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini always dreamed of becoming a vintner, and that dream began to materialize in 1997 when she bought Borgo Scopeto in Chianti Classico. After she supervised every detail of the renovation, Borgo Scopeto emerged as a luxurious hotel celebrating food, wine and wellness. The following year, Elisabetta purchased her “first love,” the Brunello estate of Caparzo. Her empire was complete in 2003 with the acquisition of Altesino in Montalcino.

The winning bidders’ party will spend seven nights in the sumptuous Executive Suites at Borgo Scopeto. During your visit, you will tour the vineyards, taste the range of Borgo Scopeto wines and dine on the game of the region. You’ll enjoy day trips to both Caparzo and Altesino in Montalcino, complete with tours, tastings and lunch.

During one of your wine paired dinners at Borgo Scopeto, you’ll be treated to a thrilling reenactment of the Palio, the traditional horse race held each summer in the Piazza del Campo in Siena.

When the time comes to rejuvenate, take refuge in Borgo Scopeto Relax, the spa and wellness center, where you can relax amid the enchantment of the Tuscan landscape. Enjoy a massage as well as a Bacchus bath—a tribute to the God of wine, conducted in a private jacuzzi with a sip of wine and a gift from the chef.

As a remembrance of their time in Tuscany, each couple will receive an assortment of the best wines from the three properties. The gift will include Large Format bottles, in different vintages, of Brunello Vigna La Casa from Caparzo, one of the most prestigious wines of Montalcino, and Montosoli, the pride of Altesino. In addition, each couple will receive six 750ml bottles of Borgo Scopeto Chianti Classico Gran Selezione DOCG, released only in the finest vintages.
