Three couples will experience an immersion into the terroir, culture and soul of the Napa Valley, along with amazing food and wine that reaches the heights of California Cabernet Sauvignon.
Founded in 2003, Favia Wines began as a collaboration between Annie Favia and Andy Erickson amidst their myriad of responsibilities at Napa’s most lauded wineries and vineyards. Their philosophy is simple: create soulful wines that express the true nature of the vineyards from which they come. During their 25-plus years in Napa Valley, they have, sometimes simultaneously, worked with some of the area’s top wineries and vineyards. Ultimately, they unite science, art and nature to produce unparalleled wines, each with its own distinct character.
Your first two nights will be spent at a luxury glamping site at the Favia Oakville Vineyard, part of the Favia’s newly acquired, 86-acre home located on the north side of Oakville Crossroad. Annie will share her knowledge of the landscape during guided hikes in the Mayacamas and Vaca Mountains, and evenings around the campfire will be seasoned with the music of country star Philip Claypool. While you certainly won’t be roughing it in Oakville, the last two nights will be spent at the luxurious Stanly Ranch, part of the Auberge Resorts Collection.
You’ll enjoy a dinner prepared by Chef Christopher Kostow, who earned Three Michelin Stars for nine consecutive years at The Restaurant at Meadowood. Kostow heads Team Kostow, which curates a variety of restaurant experiences throughout Napa and as far away as China. Kostow’s team will prepare breakfast for your party in the mornings, as well as picnic lunches to go. You’ll also be treated to a special dinner prepared by Annie and Andy, where they’ll share some of the food lovingly grown by them on the property.
During a series of tastings, you’ll sample the range of Favia wines: Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville and Oakville, Cabernet Franc-dominated blends such as Cerro Sur and La Magdalena and the intensely perfumed, barrel-fermented Viognier. You’ll also sample the wines of Dalla Valle Vineyards and Mayacamas Vineyards.
If you’ve dreamed of becoming a winemaker, your opportunity awaits during a blending session at Favia with Andy Erickson. Experiment with various grape varieties and vineyard blocks to craft your very own distinctive blend.
Your memories with Annie and Andy will be forever cherished with Magnums of the 2016 Favia Cabernet Sauvignon from both Oakville and Coombsville for each couple. The Oakville Cabernet is celebrated for its richness, concentration and length, while the Coombsville version was honored as one of Wine Spectator’s “Top 100 Wines” in 2019. Additionally, each couple will receive a case of their personal blend to share with loved ones.
