Two (2) week ultimate food and wine retreat at The Howard Backen Estate on Pritchard Hill adjacent to the OVID Napa Valley estate for up to five (5) couples

This exceptional lot represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for both wine connoisseurs and dedicated foodies to experience the very best of the Napa Valley in a private setting never before made available to the public.

Five couples will spend two weeks at The Howard Backen Estate on Pritchard Hill, a secluded retreat situated on 160 acres adjacent to the OVID Napa Valley estate. Designed by world-renowned architect and winery designer Howard Backen, the ultra-luxury residence blends into the surrounding landscape with quintessential Backen design elements such as reclaimed wood and rustic beam construction and was featured on the cover of his collected works.

During your stay, your party will be treated to a succession of dazzling food experiences. You’ll have reservations at two of Chef Keller’s Yountville restaurants: Ad Hoc and famed The French Laundry, perennial holder of Three Michelin Stars. In addition, you’ll enjoy a private dinner at The Howard Backen Estate on Pritchard Hill planned and prepared by the chef himself; hosts David and his wife, Kary, will provide rare wine pairings from their personal cellar.

David R. Duncan will give your party a personal tour of Silver Oak’s Napa estate vineyards, along with a tour of OVID Napa Valley and a dedicated tasting of OVID wines joined by winemaker Austin Peterson. OVID is one of California’s most sought-after wines, sold exclusively each year through their mailing list. In addition, the group will have access to David’s personal recommendations for winery visits, including members-only The Napa Valley Reserve. David will customize these visits according to the interests of the group.

The winning bidders will experience a special “Rally in the Valley.” Napa Valley Car Club, premier provider of exotic high-performance vehicles in the Napa Valley, will deliver five exotic cars to the estate. After a brief tutorial, they will lead the group to the locations of their choice. Enjoy the ultimate luxury road experience driving a Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, Aston Martin and more.

As a gift that will keep on giving, the party will receive a collection of 2019 OVID Napa Valley Red Wine and OVID Hexameter in Large Format and standard size bottles. Both wines received perfect 100-point scores from Jeb Dunnuck, who described OVID as “heavenly” and Hexameter as “pure Napa Valley magic.” In addition, each couple will secure a coveted spot as a lifetime collector on the OVID allocation list.

Airfare is not included. Ground transportation to winery visits and stated dinners is included. Airport transfers and any additional ground transportation are not included. Visit must be scheduled by June 30, 2024 and redeemed before June 1, 2025 on mutually agreeable dates. Select wine is included during dinners hosted by Kary & David R. Duncan, during winery tours and at The French Laundry, which will include wine pairings. Additional wine, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and gratuities are not included. The appearance of Chef Thomas Keller is subject to availability. The Napa Valley Car Club experience is based on availability and all drivers must be over 25 years old, have adequate insurance and a valid driver’s license. All bed sizes are either King or California King. Lifetime status collector offers the opportunity to be the first to purchase OVID wines for the future and does not include free wine.
