The winning bidder’s party of four will have the chance to play four of those splendid courses and spend their evenings enjoying the finest local restaurants.

Your home base for five nights will be The American Hotel in Sag Harbor, which dates to 1846. Each of the rooms has its own distinct character individually created with the finest fabrics, turn of the century furnishings and artwork.

Your golf odyssey includes National Golf Links of America, founded in 1908 and one of the most exclusive in the country. It is consistently ranked among the “Top 5” in New York and the “100 Greatest in the U.S.” and is still studied by golf designers and architects. After this exclusive round of golf, you will enjoy a legendary proper lunch at the club, including lobster and other delectable dishes, as you enjoy the views over Peconic Bay.

Your foursome will play a round at three additional iconic facilities. Maidstone Club was founded in 1891 and renovated by Ben Crenshaw in 2012. The par-72, 6,665-yard course is known for its’ challenging hazards, including marshes, sand dunes and ever-present winds. The course has been ranked in the “100 Greatest” since 1969.

Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, believed to be the oldest links course in America, boasts a 6,940-yard layout with tricky green complexes and false fronts. It’s a top-ranked course that has hosted significant U.S.G.A. events, including the upcoming 2026 U.S. Open Championship.

Located on the Great Peconic Bay in Southampton, Sebonack Golf Club opened in 2006. Designed by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Doak, the par-72, 7,513-yard course is regarded as one of the finest in the country. The combination of Doak and Nicklaus resulted in an amalgam of very different styles, with small greens of sweeping contours and jagged but manageable bunker faces.

All four of these courses are private and normally inaccessible to outsiders. Don’t miss this exceptional opportunity to indulge in some of the best American golf.

This trip must be taken in September or October 2024. Private Air from Naples, Florida to New York is included on a Challenger 3500 or similar aircraft provided by Airshare. Winners will have use of a rental vehicle for the duration of the trip. At their discretion, the winning bidders have the option to stay up to five (5) nights at The American Hotel. Dinner is included for four (4) nights at the winners’ choice from a selection of restaurants and will be reimbursed up to $3,000 total for all four (4) nights. Proper lunch at National Golf Links of America requires a sportscoat. Any additional meals not stated are at the winning bidders’ expense. Greens fees, caddies and golf carts are included. Gratuities are not included for any portion of the trip.
